Competition Introduction
It’s one thing to program and build a robot; it’s another to do it as a team. The Illinois 4-H Robotics Challenge is a yearly statewide event where youth ages 8–18 demonstrate their robotics expertise, celebrate their achievements, and collaborate with others who share a passion for STEM.

This challenge pushes teams to design and program an autonomous robot capable of solving tasks while fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
With industries increasingly shaped by technological advancements, robotics plays a vital role in solving environmental and societal challenges. This competition empowers participants to explore the intersections of robotics, science, and engineering.
